Al Noor Water Wells Program
Providing clean water to help save and transform lives.
Fresh, clean water is one of the most vital resources in the world. It is absolutely essential to good health, and it’s something many of us take for granted on a daily basis. Unfortunately, billions of people, including many in the Zanzibar Islands, still don’t have access to safe drinking water. These poor people have no other choice but to drink dirty river water that’s swarming with bacteria, parasites, animal waste, and other harmful substances. As a result, more than 2,000 children under the age of 5 will die today from diarrheal disease created by this filthy, unsafe drinking water and lack of sanitation and basic hygiene.
With your donation to Al Noor’s Water Wells Program, you can help us bring clean water to densely populated villages in Zanzibar and Pemba Islands. Your donation could mean:
- No more drinking dirty river water that’s riddled with parasites, toxins, bacteria, and waste.
- No more diarrheal diseases, which cause the death of 2,000 children every single day.
- No more long, exhausting trips to the river to retrieve water and carry it back in heavy containers.
- No more lack of basic hygiene and sanitation.
No more children have to die from a lack of clean drinking water. We can win this fight, but not without your help. With your support, our Water Wells Program can help us build high quality, efficient wells in the poorest villages across Zanzibar and Pemba Islands. Our water wells are made from the best materials and include powerful submersible pumps with a capacity to fill 120 liters of water per minute.
