Uplift your Spirit – Reach out to the Poor
BISMILLAH AR-RAHMAN AR-RAHEEM,
As-Salaamu ‘Alaikum wa-Rahmatullah wa-Barakaatu,
As Muslims, we are taught to express our gratitude through our deeds, and not only through our hearts and tongues. By doing this, we pay forward to our communities and lend a helping hand to those who need it the most.
In this year’s report on the Distribution of Ramadhan Dates, we have endeavored to capture imagery that reflects on quotes from the Qur’an and Hadith. We are reminded that, when we give someone charity, we have to be thankful to them. While we may be fixing their DUNYA (worldly affairs), they are fixing our Akhira (The hereafter).
As you view our attached presentation, please reflect on the Quranic quotes and contemplate on the promise from Allah Subhanahu. Consider the enormous blessings bestowed on those who contribute to these kinds of charities.
Ali Bin Abi Talib, KarramAllahu Wajhah has reminded us not to be ashamed when only being able to donate a small amount because there is always goodness in giving no matter how little you give.
We leave you with a quote from the Qur’an:
And the likeness of those who spend their wealth seeking Allah’s pleasure, while they in their own selves are sure and certain that Allah Will reward them (for spending in His cause), is as the likeness of a garden on a height; heavy rain falls on it and it doubles its yield of harvest. And if it does not receive heavy rain, light rain suffices it. Allah is All Seer (knows well) of what you do. ” – (Qur’an: 2-265)
